Have you tried hypnosis?

I'm thinking about being hypnotised to stop biting my nails, have you, or do you know anyone that has been hypnotised?

Recommendations would be great, ta!

I've done it for years and years, it's just a habit which I picked up from my Mum. I've done it ever since I had teeth I think - or thereabouts!

Hypnosis is a form of therapy. It is not a miracle cure that so many people have misconceptions about. It is a way to tap into your subconscious mind. NLP stands for neuro linguistic programming and is also another form of suggestion that can be therapeutic.

A habit that you've developed for years and years is going to take time, effort and committment to replace with another habit. The best way to break a bad habit is the replace it with a good one. In order to become more aware of when you bite your nails, you can wrap them in tape or band aids, which will help you to recognize when you bite your nails. Then when you begin to bite at the tape, you can breathe deep or stretch out or do some other good habit.

my bro tried to hypnotize me but i just couldn't stop laughing. dont waste ur money on such a small thing. i used to bite my nails but then someone said did u no that there is more bacteria on ur nails than ther are on a toilet seat so ud be better to lick a toilet seat than bite ur nails... yeah that put me off real bad.

Yes I have. I hate the noise around my house. Gun club, leaf blowers, hammering, sawing, ATV's. It is very constant.. So I went to a hypnotist. It really worked and it has been a few years. I think it is important to get someone you feel comfortable with. Ask them questions on the phone to see if you are compatible. I also did a very large group of people for smoking cessation and that did not work.

no, but i hypnotised a chicken at pets corner by drawing a 10 centemeter line in the air in front of its face 3 times then did it agian with chalk on a white boared and it stayed motionless for 8 hours none stop. O_o

it was funny....lol...

you are biting your nails because of some reason. therapy might look into that. hypnotherapy works for some and not for others....also you shouls have a look at NLP therapy

I have tried it for weight loss. It didn't work for me but it may be that I didn't attend enough sessions. Many do believe that it works for them.

Yes; I was hypnotized at three o'clock last night on the grandstand of a local park.

Well, I have tried to look up hypnosis videos on youtube... Didn't work out very well.

It works very well if you find a good therapist...do some really good research in your area!

Britney Spears tried that, but it didn't help.

Yes I have, it was to help me to diet but it didn't work.
