Is hypnosis what we really think it is?

Is hypnosis legitimate? Can you really create a Manchurian Candidate?

Yes... yes it is legitimate and yes you can make a manchurian candidate under the right circumstances.

Hypnosis is a tool, it can be used for positive or negative purpose. A manchurian candidate would usually require extreme trauma administered by the age of 3 and repeated at age 6 in order to fragment the consciousness into seperate self contained consciousness which can be programmed using hypnosis and perhaps drugs.

However you can also make people do things just using hypnosis too.. Many people would have you believe you won't do anything you normally would not in the waking state. Well this is right and wrong. If your hypnotized and someone says "Heres a gun, shoot joe in the chest" you almost certainly will refuse and wake up.. However if the context is changed and NLP techniques used, you can get someone to do the same act (kill someone for example) by leading them to a conclusion which would be fine by them. Example...

"Confidence is important, and we are going to do a confidence excersise. Heres a replica gun, made of metal, it fires blanks. What i want you to do, is see it as a real gun, feel the power and confidence holding it, just like on the movies, go into the next room and shoot Joe. I want you to feel it so vivid and real, You can create the vision of blood if it helps you get into the role better. Feel the experience, and gain all the confidence. Joe did this last week and feels great. I have asked Joe to act as real as he can, to make your experience as authentic as possible to really aid you in feeling confident."

If you are lead to doing something by being conned into it, you do not think you are doing wrong at all. Hypnosis is a powerful way to help people, and it can be a powerful way for "other" reasons.

Its better to be aware of it so you wont fall victim to it easily.

If you saw big broter last year, there was a hypnotist on it..
he came there and made them do funny crap...
