Im 18 & I want a hysterectomy, or anything to stop my periods? |
im never gona have kids man, and i cant be stuffed with these mood swings, PMS and period pain and being errr just miserable. im really not a fan of children i cant stand them and trust me i aint gona change my mind, i just dont want my periods and all this crap no more lol i dont need my womb i might even be skinnier if i didnt have it lol what can i do???? Sorry, but at age 18 no reputable gyn would ever perform such an invasive procedure. u will want kids. maybe not now coz ur still immature Well first off let me say if you have a hysterectomy you will not be thinner. its the bones and fat tissue that give you your size not your internal organs. If you want to stop your period I suggest you get on some form of birth control. I take depo and it stopped my period as soon as i took it. The pill is also a god way. You can discard the inactive pills and just start with the next pack of pills thus skipping your period they may not do a hysterectomy on you until you get a lot older, I am 30 and I've been trying to get a hysterectomy and they will not do it. Try using the birth control 3 month shot It has stopped my monthly,I can't remember what the name of it is, but if you go to the health clinic and ask for it they will tell you about it. and why is it that you hate kids? you'll be very hard pressed to find a doctor willing to do this at such a young age and forget about hysterectomy. they might tie your tubes or eblate your uterus (to stop the bleeding) but they will not remove your parts. Possibly skinnier-probably heavier when you are forced to take the necessary hormones to keep your body properly regulated- and you probably wont feel sexy when you see what this does to your skin, hair, nails, sex drive and other aspects of your physical well being. In addition to that you will have to undergo the ill feeling of young women everywhere forced to have hysterectomies because of cancer and real physical problems- their disappointment unimaginable. If you think that a menstrual cycle is unendurable I'd like to see you in the recovery room post this very serious life threatening surgery. The human body is an amazing design and meant to be the chariot of your spirit. That you would so callously disregard the normal functions of your body to circumvent a minor monthly discomfort astounds me. I am glad however that you are choosing not to procreate as you sound not to have the common sense to properly raise children. ok.. so we ALL go thru exactly what u go thru.. u are not the only one sweety! You won't be able to have a hysterectomy at your age a doctor would have a hard time making this procedure appropriate. Not even an ablation, due to the probability that you MIGHT change your mind. There is the Depo or Lupron shot that can stop periods, or, now there are birth control pills out there that give you only 4 periods a year. There is also an IUD that will stop periods. Talk to your GYN to discover your options. No reputable surgeon gives an 18 year old a hysterectomy. Go on the birth control pill instead. If the mood swings are really bad talk to your doctor there is help you don't need to put up with it. depo-provera will help you stop bleeding or at least lessen it. but menstruation is important to clean or body. its when we loose our blood and some linings in our uterus is expelled. hysterectomy will leave a mark on your tummy. it will look bad on you and it will not disappear. you will regret it for the rest of your life. i suggest that you go to a gynecologist and ask for a medication that can relive PMS usually pills are given but since you dont want to have you period, probably depot will be given to you.=) it will also prevent you from getting pregnant. Most doctors will not do a hysterectomy on a woman unless she has a medical problem like cancer or endometriosis (if very severe, meaning that the tissue is doing damage to the organs such as the uterus). But there may be circumstances where that doesn't matter either. (See further below.) go on the contraceptive pill like eugynon 90, They are pills out there from the doctor that will stop your periods ones that will give you a period four times a year. And there is a new one in the States that claims it reduces PMS. You need to have a medical reason to have a hysterectomy, not just because you don't want mood swings, kids, pms and period pain. sorry but what a sick way would this be to make yourself look skinnier by having a hysterectomy if it even would have that effect?? Ask around, find a doctor who will take your money (shouldn't be hard) and Bob's your uncle. Thanks for not contributing to the overpopulation problem, and good luck! |
