Four weeks ago I had a hysterectomy. leaving my ovaries intact. Will I still suffer from pms ? |
Will I suffer from pms and other associated things such as tender breasts and feeling bloated ? Sensible answer only PLEASE !! Start doing the happy dance because those days are over for you !!! Blue skies ahead, a skip in your step. A year from now you might not even remember what it was like to live in that sort of pain. Didn't your doctor go through all of this with you?? Well, you can't have a period without a uterus so that kind of answers your question. Hi,you should ask your doctor.Good Luck Yes you will as your body is still producing the hormones that cause these symtoms. Your ovaries are apart of the system that controls your hormones. Yes, you will have PMS symptoms, such as the tender breasts. You may have bloating and emotional issues as well. no, but the people around you will The misery of your fibroids made your periods a living hell. Your awareness of the other symptoms were magnified by the pain caused by the fibroids. Yes, you'll somewhat have tender breasts, the bloating will probably not be a problem, but because the fibroids are gone, you'll breeze thru that time of the month like a barn swallow. Fibroids can cause romantic intimacy to be painful, so hurray!!...you're free. Had you had your ovaries removed, you'd have far more undesirable problems. Count your lucky stars. I think you're going to be thrilled with your decision. My mum had the same problem. She had the hysto about 14 years ago and she still gets PMS. Sorry you're going through this huny. Best of luck for the future. Xx |
