Can you tell me your story and how long you were off work? Pro's/Con's and what questions I should ask? OK i had one a complete and i made them take my ovaries out too only cause ovarian cancer is so hard to diagnose and i didn't want to wind up bk in the hospital in a few yrs having another surgery~~~so i would advise u to have them out too~~~it is a really easy operation do take a pillow from home for u to ride bk home with and to put it on ur tummy to help when u hit a bump in the road after all they do remove alot and u r tender for quite a few days~~i had a iv in me and i could push a button and give my self pain med when needed but u can never give yourself too much ~~this was gr8 and also i opted to stay for what most insurances call 23 hour observation which allows u to spend the nite and then leave the next morning please do ask about it!!it made it so very much easier~~good luck try to relax its not near as bad as u think my friend said just think there taking out the toys but leaving the play pen lol so good lucj and u will be able to go out and buy white pretty panties!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no more yuk be happy!!!!!!!!!! well my mom, aunt, and granma had that. Hi Sweetie, Well, you should determine what body parts you want to get removed. Ignore the person who suggested you get your ovaries out--you're going to need them. A lot of women have a lot of problems after they're removed. Some don't, but your chances of problems are greater if you have them removed than leave them, which is why docs are now starting to recommend to leave them in. Ovarian cancer (which I've had, by the way) is not common enough to warrant ovarian removal unless your ovaries are causing problems. Also, it's becoming more common to leave the cervix in, because it helps to support pelvic floor muscles (so fewer problems with incontinence, and fewer sexual problems). |
