Can I still have a period even though I am going to have a partial hysterectomy? |
Can I still have a period even though I am going to have a partial hysterectomy? No. Not if you no longer have the uterus. If you would have just one ovary removed, then yes you could still get pregnant. But otherwise no. Before you would undergo such a surgery you need to discuss with your doctor all of your questions. Be sure that you truly understand what is going to happen and why. Is it a necessary surgery. If so, it is important to remember that you are #1. You must take care of #1, which is yourself. If you don't then you might not be around to be able to take care of #2, #3..... That would be your other child/ren, spouse, friend, parent, sister, brother. Do a lot of checking out info on the Internet about what the diagnosis is and what the surgery would maybe consist of. Best wishes for your health. uhhh...isnt that something you should discuss with you doctor, not random people on yahoo answers? I'm no GYN but if you have uterine tissue remaining inside then I would assume that tissue will still go through a menstral cycle since you'll still be producing the same hormones that trigger your menstral cycle now. no they will take the uterus not the ovaries i had one If your uterus is what is being removed, no. If your uterus remains intact, then yes. |
