My mom's had one and she's physically fine...however, she says that hot flashes are a b*tch! LoL

Wahoo! Best thing that ever happened to me!!! I was scared to death, but everything turned out find and I'm so happy! My sex life is great and I never ever have to worry about women troubles again!!! You are going to love it!!! I don't take hormones and have to deal with the hot flashes, but it's well worth it to me!! Hope it goes as easily for you as it did me!!

Well I had a partial one done about 4 years ago. My only comments are make sure you have plenty of help after you get home, get plenty of rest, and follow Dr.'s recovery time as you'll also get extremely tired if you try to do too much before you're supposed to. Good luck and hope it goes well.

I sailed through mine. I've never regretted it! Do your research up front so you know what to expect. Get some help around the house for a week or so. You'll be moving slow and you don't want to reach the top shelf of the fridge. If they take your ovaries too, you may go into menopause right away, so make sure and talk to your doc about that. Find out if they can do it vaginally as that has a quicker recovery time. Don't be surprised if your hormones go whacky at least for a while. All that jiggling stuff around inside of you can make your body act weird.

ASK QUESTIONS! It's your body and you have a right to understand it all!
