Had a hysterectomy almost 5 yrs ago and now i have strange things happening to my body any idea? |
On September 8, 2008 will be 5yr anniversary of my hysterectomy my Dr took everything except my ovaries. Well lately I have noticed that my apetite has increased, loseing hair 5 or more strandfulls at a time, low energy level, more headaches, I had read somewhere that about 3 yrs after a hysterectomey your ovaries will just stop functioning anyways and im wondering if this is why im having new issues. I have been suffereing from ovarian cysts since about a yr after the surgery they are under control right now...Does anybody have any idea why this is happening? Has it happened to anybody else? I have my annual coming up in a week so im going to ask my gyno when i go but was hoping for some words of wisdom from others to help releave some of the stress from worrying. Yes, some of this could be as a result of the ovaries starting to lose its function since your surgery (I've heard of this happening to some other women) but another possibility for your symptoms is that there could be an issue with your thyroid going on as well such as hypothyroidism (an example only). |
