After a hysterectomy does your stomach look flatter? I definitely got smaller--the doctor said my fibroid-studded uterus was the size of a 7 month pregnancy!! Getting rid of that was obviously a major relief, altho size was not the prime consideration.. Mine didn't change. However each of us is different. I was super happy to get rid of mine as I already had 2 kids, and that was plenty. However, I did not notice any change in my size at all. No, it doesn't. In fact my mothers stomach bloated and left a pooch, but that was due to weight gain after the surgery. However, internal organs have nothing to do with the flatness of your stomach, that is fat and muscle. |

Yes, some of this could be as a result of the ovaries starting to lose its function since your surgery (I've heard of this happening to some other women) but another possibility for your sympt... had hysterectomy at 30-left with part of an ovary but when this stopped working i started hrt.i know what the risks are but would rather enjoy my life now & risk cancer in 20 years-i might get ...
