How long does it take to get back to work after a hysterectomy, orthscopicly? |
i have about a week of paid time off then i will have to go without anything. my dr says i have endometriosis and need to have surgery. i sit at work and answer phones and type all day, nothing strenuous. I am assuming you mean LAPAROSCOPIC Hysterectomy (not Orthoscopic...Orthoscopic is for Orthopedic surgeries). At least a month. You are going to be tired easily. Your stamina will not be so great. If you go back too early, you will not be able to lay down and rest if you need. So stay home and rest. I was off six weeks but I lift freight at work that is heavy I would suggest two weeks for you because of the soreness so what about sick days do they provide you with those If its a hysterecomy probably at least 1 month. depends if you have it abdominally or vaginally....few weeks with the first and 3 days with the latter |
