Will a GYN perform a hysterectomy if you have started your menstrual period couple days prior to your surgery? |
I'm having a hysterectomy in one week and i have yet to start my period and it is running behind and i'm wondering if i start my period prior to my surgery will they have to reschedule the surgery because of my period? You can talk to your gyn's office about that. But me, I was bleeding when I had my hysterectomy and my doctor said not a problem. I went in wearing a pad and came out with out. God I debated for a good year or more to have one. And finally I had enough and went and had the surgery. Best thing I did. I feel soooo much better. AND no more bleeding...My best for a speedy recovery... They will usually still perform the procedure. Why are you having it done? If there is a reason that has a reason to not do it while on your period they may move it - for example if you had a tumour or such. I think so. You may want to call and ask to be sure. Good Luck with your surgery. God Bless I will keep you in prayer. |
