I had a hysterectomy 2weeks ago,im fightened of putting to much weight on sat 'being good'?


i had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago. Before then i used to run at least 20mins per day. Because ive got 'to be good' until my six week check up i cant exercise, and just a 10 minute walk the other day tired me out and made me ill the next day. What exercise can i do without the risk of me setting myself back on the recovery scale

I had a hysterectomy and couldn't sit still while my house got filthy so I started cleaning. 8 months later I was in the hospital for 11 days when my bowel was completely blocked because of adhesions from my hysterectomy.

Not everyone gets adhesions, but it is a serious possibility if you don't take it easy. Walking is the best thing for you right now and don't expect your energy level to be back to pre-surgery for several months - although you will feel a LOT better at the end of the six weeks.

Your body will use up extra calories healing from the surgery. You won't put on more than a couple of pounds if that and that is manageable when you are allowed full activity again.
