Can you still get pregnant after a partial hysterectomy? |
I know this sounds like a stupid question, and I have heard other rude responses to others similar questions......but I know that I had ony a partial Hysterectomy, still have my ovaries, and can get very light periods. Could it be possible to get pregnant? Not a pregnancy that could develope, but a false one? which at this point would be quite scarey.....My Dr.s never cautioned me that this could happen, and I have only recenty thought about it because I notice that my tummy is bigger than before, I know it could just be that I need to get more excersize, but I was just wondering.... I still have my ovaries and tubes, they just removed what they had to of my Uterus to get it detached from my placenta, because it had grown ( my pacenta) through it and my bladder, they left as much as possible.. a friend of mind had a partial hysterectomy because of chlamydia she also lost an ovary and tube and she went on and had 2 more kids sorry im male and not a medical person but just going by the fact that my wife had an hysterecotomy a few years ago. I think it's highly unlikely, most partial hysterectomy remove the upper part of the uterus AND the fallopian tubes. The only way to put your mind at rest is take a test and see your doctor. No you cant get pregnant for the reason is you have no womb or f/tubes. I had one and found that having a bigger tummy is one of the pitfalls I'm afraid. hello, |
