Can you have pms if you've had a hysterectomy but I still have my ovaries???? |
tie me down quick I need to be seriously tied down... BAD! Yes. The ovaries play a big part in the menstrual process. Think of it as, they send the signals and the uterus is the receptor. So even with the uterus gone, the hormones that are produced by the ovaries are still in play. Your ovaries are responsible for putting out the hormones for your cycle. Even if you don't have the uterus, you will still have the symptoms of everything except the bleeding. Hope this helps!!!! yes, sort of. I have the same situation. You will still have a cycle because your overies still produce eggs and your hormones will still surge around the time you used to get your period. Great huh? Yes. Lots of female hormones are actually secreted by the ovaries and the brain so a hysterectomy would not necessarily prevent PMS. Yes-you can also have all the menopausal symptoms as well---lucky lady's that we are---------grr Yes. The ovs produce the hormones that cause PMS. Bad husbands also cause PMS..... Yes- your ovaries are what produces your hormones. Trying to think back to my Biology lessons.. I think you need ovaries to produce sex hormones(which cause PMS) so yeah :) |
