If you have a partial hysterectomy done, do you still get your period?

Remove the uterus, but leave the fallopian tubes and ovaries.

The uterus is removed, leaving the cervix intact; no uterus; no periods! Regular PAP smears will need to be continued. Whether the tubes and/or ovaries are removed is a decision you will make with your surgeon. Good luck to you!

No, you need a uterus to get your period. You get your period when the lining of your uterus builds up and is shed.
