I need help losing weight after my hysterectomy.?

I am only 24, I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago, I didnt not gain weight until last year, I gained 55 pounds. My husband is military and I would go to the military gym every night and work out. For diet I ate oatmeal in the morning with a cup of juice, snacked on fruit and carrots during the day and ate things like rice & salad for lunch, with nothing to drink but water all day and for dinner I would have a cup of chicken and a cup of rice & a glass of diet soda. I have been doing this for a year and I lost no weight. I then starting taking a prescription drug called fastin and I lost 10 pounds in the first month. 3 months later still taking it and I have not lost anything. Can some one please help. Also I have no energy, I want to get out and play with my son and I dont ever feel like doing any thing. and pills dont help at all. Some one please help, I am so unhealthy.

Let me know what you think!

I think it is a great idea for the MD to check your thyroid. You might have something going on there.

The next thing is to find yourself a local Weight Watchers and sign up. It is a terrific, healthy plan and will have you on track in no time. I lost 45# on that plan and have kept it off now for a year- so I know first hand it can work. Weight loss is hard for everyone, but it really helps to have some support doing it and to be on a proven plan.

Go to your doctor because it can be something else that making you gain weight. You can have a thyroid problem, because the symptom are weight gaining or lose weight and lost of energy.

Ask your doctor to do blood testing to check your thyroid. A underactive thyroid causes some of those symptoms.

I had a complete hysterectomy 7 years ago and am 5 7" and weigh 108lbs. I fee great and am very energitic! Try to eat an all raw diet. you are almost there...NO soda at all not even diet. just dring either spring water or lemon water...eat only raw fruit or veggies nothing processed or cooked..NOTHING..no breads no rice , cereal or grains..no meat either..for protein eat raw cashews or raw almonds...I started this diet plan as a diet but eat so much more now i stayed on it..here is what i ate yesterday...2 apples for breakfast, 1 cup of almonds for snack, a huge salad with , apple cider vinegar, lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil for dressing, pineapple for snack, another huge salad for dinner but added broccolli and extra tomatoe and plenty of beets..for snack I had 1 pear and some grapes..now thats a lot of food...I only weigh 108 I was down to 103 but had to pick up my eating because that was too low....try it for even 3 days..youll see the weight melt off...
