Mom had Hysterectomy in 1990...what is wrong with her? Please help!? |
This has gone from bad...to unbearable ...to crying out for help! She had a hysterectomy back in 1990 and they gave her hormone pills and she was fine. But about 7 years ago they toko her off the pills and told her she didn't need them any more...ever since she has had anxiety, DEPRESSION (she can't be left alone for more than an hour), nervousness, dizziness etc. She calls me in the middle of the night to come to her that she feels she's dying. Every day I or my sister will get about 10 calls from our mother telling us how mad she feels and how she can't take it any more. We have taken her to the doctor and all they do is prescribe depression pills which she won't take because they make her feel even more dizzy and I feel she needs to be put on the pills again. I just don't know how to explain this to them without being blown off again, I am taking her a hospital tonight since her doctor won't give them to her...how can I explain how serious it is? Has anyone gone thru this? My mom had a hysterectomy also...she NEEDS the hormones to help keep her balanced. Find a new dr if you need to but she needs them. When she had that done her hormones were basically gone. The dr put her on a hormone to keep her balanced. Taking her off of the was stupid! I'd slap that dr for doing that. Tell her to go to a dr and you and your sis both offer to go with her make her feel comfy. |

Take your medications... Did the doc mention a myomectomy (removal of the fibroid itself)? Or why that wasn't possible in your particular case? Any suggestion of drug therapy to shrink or ? Ablation's a bit of... It all depends on how heavy the bleeding is. If the bleeding is light, she probably had small tears in the vagina and these will heal on their own. Postmenopausal women not on hormone replacement ... NO! Please do not get a Hysterectomy!! My mom got a hysterectomy and she had an on going yeast infection and it was always burning her and so many things went wrong!! Its a long story short- Sh... I think if your in such a state that partial hysterectomy is your only option, as was mine, that you will be relieved and happy when you have relief of your problems! I sure was! I wasn't howe... Maybe they want you empty as the drugs they put you to sleep with can shut your bowl down for a couple of days, that's why after C Sections they really limit what you eat, or in Australia anyw...
