My blood thinner is causing me to have a hysterectomy,?

I am 25, had a stroke from Birth control one year ago. Can't ever be on hormones again, but am bleeding uncontrollably. Anyone had a hysterectomy while on blood thinners? Doctors think it may be too risky, but which is worse...bleeding like crazy, or going under?
