What to expect after a hysterectomy? |
Can anyone tell me what the first few weeks will be like? I have a 2 and 4 year old and will only have someone to help me for the first 2 days, then I'm on my own. What chores, etc did you find difficult? Any info or suggestions would be much appreciated! well, you may be in the hospital for a few days at least. if your lucky, you'll get out in 2, depending on your doctor and insurance. All surgeries take a little while to recover from. You may want to try to get somebody to help you with the kids for at least a week. Any bending and lifting is going to be hard at first. Things such as laundry, and cleaning bath tubs, lifting children will be a bit painful. On the plus side, you won't have to buy tampons anymore. |
