Effects of partial hysterectomy? (Please answer if you've had one)?

I had a hysterectomy via the Davinci robotic method on april 13th, nine days ago. The doctor left my ovaries but removed my uterus entirely due to a lot of scar tissue from endometriosis. I'd like to hear someone's personal experience after having a hysterectomy. No textbook answers or encyclopedia sites please.

I've been having pretty bad night sweats. I've also had bad stomach cramps and diarrhea Yay for three days--not sure if it's related. My doctor's nurse rarely returns phone calls. OH and I've been very emotional--I cried yesterday just b/c I was a little nervous--EMBarrasing!! What can I do to help this?

I had a complete hysterectomy (vaginally) in March. I had to get one due to fibroids.

I have had no problem except for an infection which my doctor said was pretty common. I also had a little kind of blood blister form that she removed.

You should be going in for your first post op appointment soon. Are you still on any pain medications? They might be causing some of your problems. I'm not sure what is going on emotionally because you still have your ovaries.

I would just try to calm down and relax. You might have a stomach virus. Try to eat bland foods and make sure you drink water.

Hysterectomy usually causes you to go through instant menopause, because of the drastic change in hormones. Night sweats and all that stuff is related to meno. Especially the crying. It's possible you will need some sort of hormone replacement therapy. My mom is menopausal and I know the crying is a big one for her. She cries over EVERYTHING!
