Should women be able to have a hysterectomy as elective surgery? Why or why not?

Should women be able to have a hysterectomy as elective surgery? Why or why not?

In a country where we are free and have freedom to choose to change our sex why wouldn't a woman have a choice in having a hysterectomy if its by choice or due to family hx. Its their body and ultimately their choice they have to live with the consequences not me

i think women should be allowed to have a hysterectomy as elective surgery but Only if they are fully educated on the complications and the side effects that come along with such major surgery. May be a bit of counseling should happen too. I think every woman should be able to decide what is in her body and what comes out-within reason.
