I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy in a few weeks. Do I need to use birth control prior to my surgery?

They will check before your op that you aren't pregnant, but I wouldn't risk getting pregnant before unless you want a baby and don't want the op.

If your consultant wants you to stop your pills before hand, then use alternate methods of birth control/don't have sex.
If you are still sexually active then i would recommend that you use an alternative method of Birth Control until your operation. Good Luck
Never mind, don't use because they gonna remove your uterus anyway in a few weeks.
B/C pils ... no you dont need to take Pills being that you wont have a uterus ant longer
