I want answers for my mothers bad hysterectomy operation? |
about 4 years ago my mother had a hysterectomy operation which left her in a lot of pain ever since. she has had appointments one after the other she has had scannings of the body and she has even had little cameras put inside her but they still cant find the problem she is on alot of medication to keep her slightly sedated due to the pain it has taken the nhs 4 years toseek the sourse of the pain but still cant find it so i was wondering if any one out there has experienced this or knows of any one that is any info will be grat new thanks. Sounds like a classic case of adhesions to me - in my experience, even very minor ones can cause big problems. Adhesions occur when little bits of internal tissue stick together & cause obstructions to movement of the internal organs. The camera views don't always show small adhesions - the only way is via a mini exploratory operation. I wish you well - I do think that the solution is relatively easy - I'm amazed that nothing like this has been suggested after all this time. I really hope you get a solution soon. Good luck Source(s): Ex theatre sister - 21 years in NHS! No experience with the pain problem here but has she seen a different doctor about the problem? Sounds like she needs to see an internal medicine doctor. It may not be related to the hysterectomy at all but could be caused from another area like the bowel or bladder. my dear friend, just pray. Just pray for the best, everything will be allright, but such operations need time... A lawyer will find out for you File a lawsuit for malpractice common sense Cman, me too,,,,mine was about 8 yrs ago and have lots of pain and extreme issues with gas and indegestion since, not slight ones....pain that has kept me in bed...have been to many doctors and no relief...yeah they gave me drugs...addictive pain killers and so on...nothing cured the issues only numbed me... First of all, what a great kid you are (or young adult) for caring and making this your business,,,,she may be in pain but she is a lucky woman to have you...and have you questioning..I am not a doctor but they didn't help me but I can tell you what did.... My back had (and still does form time to time) hurt alot....like can't sleep kind of hurt..I wish you had elaborated a bit on her pain source..but anyway... After many docs visits...I had every kind of test that is known to man and then about two months ago heard on t.v. about the Activa Challenge...(the yougurt)...it says try it for two weeks and if you don't feel better, we pay you back...it has natural cultures that aid and help in digeston, gas processing and the like, well believe it or not, it has worked wonders. Gas is very painful when it can't process correctly, esp. when you have had operations like c-sections or hysterectomy that is a procedure which involves "adjusting" the intestines to get the job the done. I am in no way affliated with this company but was scheduled for a colonoscopy and this 1800.00 procedure was one I could not afford so I gave activa the 2 weeks and feel 90 % better, my back still bugs me but it may be my mattress...with the $ I saved form no colonoscopy, will get a better one... I know this sounds like a careless and way too simplistic answer, but I sware to you, I am soooooooo much better. I am 50 years old and decided to do something I considered stupid before one more test or one more drug...I am not a part of their company at all, it just worked wonders for me, thats all... good luck to you and your mom...tried it all,,,,feeling better. |
