Has anyone had a Vault Haematoma after a hysterectomy and how long can it last ?
It's one of those possible side effects of surgery. Partly it would depend on whether you had your hysterectomy as a vaginal removal or an abdominal removal of your uterus. Basically, which ever way, the haematoma needs to drain or absorb so time will depend on how large it is but it will disappear given time. Remember to take it easy & do nothing that causes straining or pressure.

Ex nurse I don't know what that is, but it sounds bad. I am going to look into no vault insurance.
