Why do you lose the desire for sex after a hysterectomy? Even when you are at a young age?/? |
I WAS 31 WHEN I HAD MY HYSTERECTOMY I WAS A NYMPHO BEFORE AND NO DESIRE FOR SEX NOW ANY HELP/ u probably had ur ovaries removed...causing a major drop in ur estrogen (love) hormone. Consult ur dr and get some prescribed hormonal replacement therapy. It works! get hormone therapy, im far more sexual at 58 than ever, i had my surgery at 37, and it was a total hysterectomy due to cancer. other than that for gods sake talk to a doctor. go see a doctor, please! you may need hormome therapy or it could all be in your head! how are some strangers on the 'net supposed to know? I believe after a hysterectomy you are supposed to go on hormone replacement therapy, because of the fact that you don't have as high of estrogen levels. That may be why your libido is down. Ask your doctor if you haven't started those already. I am no Dr., but I would assume it has something to do with your hormones now that your body knows you are unable to reproduce. Well your reproductive organs are the ones that control the release of hormones that control your sexual drive. When you lose those organs the production of those hormones goes down significantly. Your body is no longer producing the hormones that made you crave sex before. There's supplement therapy that while it has risks can be beneficially enough to outweigh the risks. My sis had a hysterectomy and she goes at it like never before. I think you may need to speak with you doctor it could be hormonal or emotional. My sis had an emergency one when she was 23. |
