Why do doctors don't want to do hysterectomies anymore?

I would also like to know this as well. Sounds like you might have a fan club here. Thankyou very much for letting me know about the ablation procedure because this was highly recommended to me by my doctor. I'd rather not go through a bunch of he** with this that and the other procedure on a part that we do not even need anymore. Why oh why is there a big stigma behind women getting hysterectomies when we are the ones who choose this option. It should be a no brainer. We have to sign consents which basically says we will not sue the doctor because we changed our minds later..so I will also be watching this thread for other answers users may have. Good luck to you..I feel your pain believe me. Source(s): currently on a 2 month cycle with no end in sight! It is horrifying at times to say the least.

They are probably afraid of the lawsuits that may be brought against them.
I had no problem at all with getting my dr to agree to it. My other dr had tried to talk me out of it but after fighting female issues for 11 years, I've had enough - no more shots, no more pills
