After a hysterectomy where does the semen go during sex?


Ive not had one nor do I need one just something I wondered.After you have a hysterectomy and they remove your uterus when you have sex what happens to the semen? Does it just go in and float around or what? Also does it go up towards your bowels and if so isnt that a chance for infection? How does that work?

I have had a hysterectomy - it leaves the play-pen and takes away the nursery
I have never had an infection - just like other women it floats about then leaves you by way of...............
i would think it would be absorbed into the body, or expelled from the body at some point during or after sex.

Well after a hysterectomy they don't just leave the vagina blindly open into the pelvis. Everything is sutured closed. So during sex semen will go into the vagina as always, and stay there.
