How long after a hysterectomy can I exercise?

How long after a hysterectomy can I exercise?

At least 6 weeks - if you do anything before then - you could cause some damage and then you will be back in surgery - with an even longer recovery.

You obviously haven't had it yet or you would not be asking the question. Your body will be tired. I am a go getter and always need something to do - after my hysterectomy I would get up and try to clean - after 30 minutes I will like...I need to go and lay down. You body won't let you - it just starts to shut down. Trust me if you rest your body it will heal quicker. I was still exhausted after two months b/c I just couldn't sit still and went back to work after 10 days - stupid!. I wish I had just rested for the 6 weeks and then been back to normal
It depends on how the surgery was done. If it was invasive then at least 6 weeks. Your GYN knows you and your condition best - he/she should let you know when the time is right.
Depends on what you want to do. I think light exorcise would be fine after 4 weeks, but if it's a vigorous work out then 2 months of longer. In any case work up to it gradually and get advice from your Doc.
Around 6 weeks if you are feeling well and recovery went smoothly. Check with the doctor first.
