Driving after a hysterectomy?

i had a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago, does any one know when i can start driving again?my surgeon said after 2 weeks and my insurance said when i've been told i can.is this right?it seems very soon.xxx

Well driving is not suggested till about 3-4 weeks..this is what a conservative gynaec says...because of the braking and the posture which needs to be adopted during driving...before you go out driving i would suggest an independent opinion with a second gynaec just to confirm that the stitches have dissolved and the hysterectomy is complete...otherwise it can lead to pain and bleeding if premature.
well my mother did...after she had her hysterectomy, so i assume if your doctor said it's ok, and you feel good enough and alert to drive then it's ok.
