Urinary incontinence during pregnancy part 2 (cause people didn't answer the question)? |
ok, so maybe i wasn't clear enough. tracy: i do feel the dampness, i just don't feel when the pee is coming out of the urethra I am 20 weeks 5 days, and I have the same problem. I was leaking and I did not realize it was urine. I went to the hospital and spent hours there only to find out it was urine and not amnio fluid. So it can happen without you even realizing it. It is completely normal as my ob/gyn says. well when this happens to me "i" am aware and its strange you don't feel the dampness. i think you should be feeling it (i do) it could be amniotic fluid they tell you to smell it if it smells like ammonia it's pee if it doesn't it could be amniotic fluid I didn't notice it when I was pregnant, but it was only a little bit at a time. When I did pee my pants (I thought my water broke :=) ) I felt everything. I would call your doctor and ask him/her. They'll be able to let you know if it's normal or not. I leaked urine now and then with both my pregnancies, however I was always aware when it happened. Well, if you want an actual medical reason for why your peeing yourself, maybe you should ask a medical professional. I have had this happen to me a few times so far. Usually when it happens I know it has happened to me. If you are not noticing it and it is a freaquent think I would let your doctor know this. You may be leaking fluid a little bit at a time. I wish you the best with it all. some are aware of this and others do not notice, if you are concerned have a word with your midwife as soon has be cause it might not be pee, it could be that you have a little hole in the bag of waters around your baby and it may that that is leeking, but to make sure have a word with her i would have this checked it could be amniotic fluid does it smell like ammonia? if so its pee if its fluid it will have no smell or can even smell like cleaner like draino, you need to ask the dr to check it out for you!! good luck!@ i didn't notice it when i was preggo either, and it started happening pretty early on. my doc said it was normal. :) You generally don't notice. I think when it's caused by pressure there's just not enough or it happens too slowly to get your attention. There's also a fair chance that it's not urine, just one of the many exciting new discharge issues we get to deal with as we get father along. It's normal not to notice that as well. Well I have the same issue kinda, everytime I sneeze cough or laugh it seems I pee, but I usually notice. I can remember 1 time where I didn't notice. I'm 25 weeks. I think it pretty normal that you dont feel it. The pressure of the baby on your bladder not only makes you more prone to stress incontinence, it can deaden the feeling in the nerves as well. i wasnt aware of peeing alittle bit on myself when i was pregnant with my daughter.i went to the dr and i had an urinarary track infection thats why.its very common while pregnant.usually you will know when you pee on yourself i did the whole time while i was pregnant except for when i had the infection.you need to make an appt to the dr to make sure.also have you been having stomach pains when you go pee and you feel like your about to pee on yourself and when you do pee nothing comes out then a little later you peed some on yourself?if so yup you got the urinarary track infection.other than that i dunno hun When I was pregnant I constantly "leaked" pee .. I did not always notice it. Sometimes I could feel it come out but it wasn't like a peeing sensation .. it only happens to me when i had too many beers... |
