that is when you tense and release your pelvic muscles to build them up so you won't have leakage.

Squeeze the same muscles you use to hold your urine and hold for a count of 10. Helps to do about 200 a day. Your Dr or midwife can give more specific instructions, or try starting and stopping your urine on the potty to get used to this excercise.

A keigel is an exercise designed to increase the muscle tone of your lower pelvic floor area.
You can learn how to do the exercise by simply stopping and starting the flow of urine while on the toilet.
If you can do this then the act of stopping the flow of urine is the actual keigel exercise.
Now that you know exactly how to do it, you can do it anytime. They generally say that you do a couple of sets of ten repetitions a day.

Well, I practiced this with my two pregnancies. It helps to strengthen your muscles down there by restricting and then releasing your urine flow. For me it helped with my labor and delivery, and its always good to give all of the muscles you can a workout, right?
