What can I do about my dogs incontinence?

I have a 10 year old Rottweiler, and she's been slightly incontinent since we got her last year, but lately it's gotten so bad that whenever she lays down she urinates. Is there anything I can do for her to make her stop? Are there medications out there that can help strengthen her bladder? Could this be caused by something more serious?
Any ideas, or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!

I would definitely take her to the vet to see if there are meds to help. In the mean time, i think there are "doggy diapers"... seen them at petsmart. I figured those were for dogs in heat and those dogs that are incontinent.

** Don't know what the thumbs down is for, it's not like I said the dog should wear diapers. But if it will help out from making a mess in the house, maybe they could be worn temporarily until she's seen by the vet and then the vet can diagnose what's wrong or give a prescription**

have you had her checked by your vet to make sure its not a medical issue such as a uti or bladder cancer?

there are medications to help with incontinence. talk to your vet.

my first thought is kidney disease i'd ask a vet to do a full blood panal. But I also know incontinence is normal without any other disease too.

OK. It's probably a UTI. yep dags, puppy's all animals can get it. this is how she gets it is , being she is a female they get it really easy because when they have to go pee they squat lower to the ground which picks up dirt and such.which causes infections in the (pee hole) lol well any way I breed saint Bernard's this has happened be for. She dose need to go to vet they will more then likely give her CLAVAMOX.. for her weight go up.But in the mean time You could give her cranberry juice yep. it really dose work give her 1 shot glass full 2 times a day should clear up in a week. I would probly try this first .. and then in a week if it dont seem to be better call a vet..I would say she is in a Lil bit of pain just like if you where to have a UTI.. just more like uncomfortable. give the vet a call tell him whats going on. And you was told it could be a Balder infection. they tell him that CLAVAMOX. is what was recommend..all vets are different though.. GOOD LUCK to YOU and you pooch..
