How would you change an elderly man's diaper? INCONTINENCE?

There is a job that I really want , more as a helping hand to an elderly couple . The husband has Parkensons and slight incontinence problems . I am not a nurse , and they are not really looking for a nurse , but if this problem arises while I'm there , I would be expected to fix it , how do I go about that ?

They are mostly looking for a housekeeper , which I am .. But I do want to be willing and able to do whatever is needed to help , and when I spoke to her I made it very clear that I am not a nurse , but would love to help as much as possable .

That line of work is called CNA (certified nurse's aide). If you wanna know:

1. Put on some gloves and double bag.
2. Prep supplies
2. Place a disposable blue sheet beneath patient (it may get messy)
3. Remove patient's clothing
4. Undo diaper straps
5. roll patient to side
6. wipe of area from front to back with the baby-wipe
7. when clean, wipe 1 additional time with new wipe to ensure proper cleaning.
8. bundle up used diaper with all used wipes and discard with top pair of gloves.
9. apply new diaper, and roll patient on back.
10. finish dressing patient.
11. wash your hands with mild soap

That's all you need to know. :)

You need to take classes in home health care if you want to be in this line of work. You are only taking this job for the money, not for the job.

Lift up his bottom, put absorbant mat below and remove trousers/diaper etc. Take away dirty one, and then clean the area while he's on his side. DRY IT THOROUGHLY, and then lay the new diaper flat and he can roll back onto it, you can then pull the front part up between his legs and velcro the side straps together across the front.

technically, no

check with your employer-their liability insurance may not allow it-

from your description-you are a non medical aid/companion
