Incontinence while pregnant?

I know I asked this earlier, but I'm hoping to get an answer from somebody who's been through this. I didn't have incontinece during my last (and only) pregnancy, but I did for 6 months after. I've been doing kegals...if you've had this problem did you have it with your next pregnancies? And did you have it after again also? Thanks!

I was pregnant last year (miscarried at almost 20 weeks in Dec 06) and I remember having terrible incontinence in my 3--4th month. I did Kegals and I was able to get it under control. After I lost the baby, I no longer had the problem. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant again, and I am starting with the problem all over again. I have to wear a pad because if I laugh or sneeze to hard, it's all over.....

I think it's just part of being pregnant. Everything loosens up in your body and you lose control. I'm just waiting til I can't hold back the gas...then I will crawl in a hole and die.

I'm 29. I didn't anticipate having these problems until I was well into the "Depends" years.

Good luck!
Im pretty sure this happens with all pregnancys, an yea it happened to me it sucked, id laugh id cough id hiccup anything.. an there it came....... i have not been pregnant again yet, but it does still happen ocassionaly when i sneeze or laugh to hard, i heard that its really never the same after u have the issue in a pregnancy so more than likely the next pregnancy it will also be an issue. however kegals are great for tightening the muscles and do prevent it from getting worse and alos prevents u from wearing diapers when ur old! thats a big plus.... So any how yea it sucks alot, but id just stick with the kegals thats all u can do to prevent it from getting any weaker an hopefully preventing it in another pregnancy
I didn't have it with my first. Started mid-way with my second and earlier with my third. What's really nice (not) is that now my youngest is 4 and I'm still having problems. Grrrr. I'm going to have to break down and talk to my Gyn about it.

Hope you have a different experience.
As long as you have a bundle of joy pushing hard on your bladder, you WILL get incontinence. Its only natural and something you really cannot medically control until after the baby is born. You can continue to do Kegal exercises and/or rubbing your belly to rearrange your baby's position. I had to do that with my daughter. Ask the doctor if its okay to do that.

I also suggest to purchase incontinence pads and change them often so you will not develop any vaginal infections. Remember to ask your doctor first always before you do anything. Congrats, good luck to you, and I hope this helps! :)
Mom to a beautiful baby daughter!
I didn't have this problem with my first pregnancy much that I noticed but this time around it is horribly bad. My first pregnancy though I did tons of kegals but this time I am just spacing out on it. If you keep up your kegals it should go away even when you aren't pregnant kegals are beneficial...try doing one during sex, my hubby loves it. Anyway, if you keep doing it after the baby is born and the problem goes away, it will help to where you don't have it during the next pregnancy.
