Infertility help? |
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost 3 years, our insurance does not cover fertility treatment so it is becoming very costly. We have exhausted all medications and options we can afford and are basically giving up. Is there anywhere that offerers financial assistance or clinical trials for IVF? Any information would be beyond appreciated. We have been seeing a fertility specialist, I have tried all the medications I can, (clomid, lupron, ect) I have a cardiac condition and can not take the injectable fertility medications because of the high rate of multiples which would be life threatening for me. I live in MA. I have also tried many many natural things like the ones sugested and changing my diet. Do you know what level of help you would need?Going to a fertility specialist doesn't mean you automatically have to have IVF. Have you tried IUI's? They are MUCH more affordable. Our insuarance didn't cover feritility care either but our specialist let us make payments on our bills. You'll need to clarify which state or country you are from. I dont know about any financial assistance, but in the meantime I would try maybe natural methods. try vitex (chastberry) and red raspberry leaf tea.(or the pills) I am currently taking the red raspberry leaf pills and i'm on clomid, or clomiphene. I believe its only about $23 for a 1 month supply without insurance. you may want to ask your Dr. good luck, baby dust to you!!!!**** I know capital one does a medical loan for things that insurance does not cover...just got through with IVF cycle #1...now 7 weeks pregnant with baby #1 check out www.myivfalternative.com there is a lot of good information on there. Hope this helps. |
