I know some women on birth control have said they couldnt reproduce after being on birth control for a long period of time. It different with everyone though.

smoking causes erectile dissfunction in men and i think can lower or decrease sperm counts and activity, some stds can cause infertility for both men and women, endometriosis (not an std) can cause infertility for women, sometimes drugs or even prescription drugs can cause infertility. sometimes age is a factor people get less fertile with age.

There are alot of causes. If a male has a low morphology or motility (sperm count and how fast the sperm swim) it can be from smoking, excessive abuse of alcohol, lack of Zinc, Selenium, Sulpher, and Vit C. Normally low sperm count is temporary though.
In Women it can be endometriosis, or bad dieting, if a female has too much Vit C the cervix dries up and is unable to carry the sperm to the uterus.
