Any suggestions for infertility?

My husband and I have been trying for nearly 5 years to have children with no luck. We have both been through numerous tests and have been given no reason for our infertility. We are being referred to in-vitro but are not sure that we are ready for that yet.

I am wondering if anyone has advice about natural life-style changes or natural procedures that can be made that may help conception. We do not smoke and we drink very minimally (maybe once a month). I am considering acupuncture also.

Any input would be greatly appreciated especially if you have also experienced this difficulty or are close to someone who has.

I'd love to help. My husband and I tried for 6 years! I am now 7 weeks pregnant.

I KNOW it is due to acupuncture. I started acupuncture last May and was pregnant by July. Unfortunately, I had a very early miscarriage. I stopped acupuncture for quite a while (went thru a major depression) and started again in January and am now pregnant again. First off, get a referral! You need a good acupuncturist who has lots of experience in getting women pregnant. My acupuncturist has 2 books full of women she has helped conceive.

You may want to consider IUI instead of IVF and combine it with acupuncture.

I changed my diet too in January and started working out a lot more. I actually started feeling great and losing weight. My body was really starting to look like I wanted and then I fell pregnant. But that's okay!

Another thing, I KNOW how depressing and frustrating it can be. Try to focus on your relationship with your husband. Take up a hobby together. HAVE FUN! Our relationship was probably the best it had been in years when I got pregnant.

And lastly, find a fertility doctor you trust, can talk to and feel comfortable with. Not someone who tells you what to do. Someone who gives you information and lets you make your own decisions.

Trust yourself and trust your body.

If no problems have been found, it will happen.

Lots of luck to you.

zinc vitamins for your husband.

if u carry any extra weight lose that.

Have you been told about Intra-Uterine Insemination by your doctor? If all your tests are coming back fine, then maybe you simply need a 'jump-start'. It's way less invasive than IVF (and IUI is so much cheaper too!)

Just a thought - otherwise, acupuncture is well recommended as an alternative method. I use Reiki to keep relaxed when the 2WW is getting too much for me :)

are you or your hubby over weight? because that can be a factor which can affect your fertillity. i had been trying for a baby (and have pcos) for 18mths, i did a major weight loss programe, lost 2.5 stone in 10 weeks and am now 8 weeks pregnant.
wishing you both all of the luck in the world x
