What are the primary causes of infertility in men and women?

What are the primary causes of infertility in men and women?

Guns!

One of the leading causes of infertility in women is P.C.O.S.
Poly-Cystic-Ovarian-Syndrome.
Google that. I don't know how to include a link--sorry.

FINALLY a good question!! (and one STOOPID answer - neither masturbation nor contraception causes infertility.)

There are many known and unknown causes of infertility: this has not been researched with rigour until relatively recently. In previous centuries, infertility was blamed on the woman, on witchcraft, and God knows what.

In my unscientific opinion, I would say low sperm count for men, and ovulation problems for women. There's probably an age component for women as well, since so many women are delaying childbirth until their thirties and forties.

Men---jacking off

Women---birth control pills.

stress

Stress is not exactly a cause of, but it is known to aggravate the problem; thought I would get that out of the air. http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/a...
Let's ask what cause infertility in women. Lack if ovulation is a big factor along with irregular menstrual cycles. http://www.medicinenet.com/infertility/p...
Many things risk a woman's chance of infertility; one such factor is age. http://www.medicinenet.com/infertility/p...
What causes it in men? One is problems in making sperm.

The big question of the day is how does a doctor come to this conclusion? Sometimes they'll know by doing a complete fertility evaluation. http://www.medicinenet.com/infertility/p...
This may or may not be the answer your looking for; at least they're a start.
