Can 6 consecutive missed periods mean infertility?

I haven't had a period since September 2007. I do weigh 225 lbs and I am only 5'5". My physician informed that weight gain can tweek my cycles. I also had a pelvic exam and blood work done and was informed that I did contract Chlamydia. I fear that my weight gain may be from Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (caused by Chlamydia) or infertility. Pls HELP!!

There is nocorrelation between Chlamydia and weight. But there is a correlation between type of menstrual cycle and weight. Infertility could be a symptom of the irregular cycle.

i think you have gone through the change of life. you should be happy no more periods.

I don't think that you will get your period anytime soon honey, Sorry. :( think about adoption.

Chlamydia and weight gain or not tied together. And is it possible you are either already pregnant or going through menopause, you dont mention youre age. Excesive wieght can can directly affect infertility. Definately get a rescreen for STDs and a CBC with diff to see what youre dealing with

Have you been diagnosed with PID? That can lead to infertility. It wouldn't cause weight gain, though. Being overweight will affect your menstrual cycle, and can lead to fertility problems. Often when women lose weight their menstrual cycles will go back to normal. You should go back to your doctor and get very specific information about what is going on with your body. Did they check your hormone levels? Have they done ultrasounds to check your reproductive organs for scarring or problems? You need a doctor to help you figure all this out.
