Infertility after being on Depo injections? |
I've been getting Depo injections every three months for almost two years. I plan on trying to get pregnant in a year. I've read that after going off Depo you can be infertile for up to a year. I'm thinking of switching from Depo injection to Loestrin 24 for the next year. Will I have a better chance getting pregnant after going off Loestrin? I think you should just listen to your husband and go on cruises and trips to Las Vegas.... Let the scientist worry about all that wacky "your body stuff". Just keep a steady streams of lovings to your stunningly handsome husband and all will be OK... I also heard that oral/anal sex helps your chances of the depo wearing off sooner... Do not blame me that is just science I was unable to get pregnant for a while after the Depo shot. I was on depo and have been off for 2.5 years. After depo went on birthcontrol pills and am having trouble conceiving. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS...had no trouble before being on Depo! If you know you want to conceive in a year, I would recommend not going on ANY birthcontrol for the next year. It would be good to have one year of normal healthy cycles birth control free! Obviously, you will need to use another form of protection during the next year..but if I could do it over again after Depo I would go bc free! No birth control is good to conceive after going off! I was on the depo for 8 years and it took me two and a half years to conceive! If I were you I would not take nothing and let the chemicals run out of your body! It's going to take about a year or so to conceive anyway... Good luck! Birth control has been great for people not wanting to get pregnant but it has played havoc with people trying to get pregnant. A real nightmare. I was on the pill for almost 10 years and have difficulty now trying to get pregnant. |
