Infertility and undescended testicles? |
I want to know some men's stories of fertility after having undescended testes as children. Specifically men who had no trouble with being infertlile and have kids now. I am concerned because my child had 2 undescended testicles at birth and they were surgically corrected at 15 months old. I read that this increases a mans infertility because of low sperm count, since when the testicles are developing they are exposed to higher than normal temperatures being inside of the abdomen Having undescended testicles as a child only has a very minimal to zero effect as an adult. The guy needs to do a sperm count check if there are reasons to believe he may be low. Anything else is just guessing. The factors involved in getting pregnant can be complex, however there is an easy test to rule this factor out. |
