What is the correct term for an infertility specialist? How do I become one? |
I am currently working on my associates in health sciences. I have one year to go and I go to a community college so I will be transfering in one year. What are some classes I will be expected to take, some good medical schools, and how exactly do I become a fertility specialist (as in how many years will it take and all??) This is typically a OB/GYN doc that has completed an additional fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and restricts their practice to fertility. Typical training for a North American Reproductive endocrinologist involves 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, 4 years of residency, and 3 years of fellowship. Medical School is not that important as to where you go there are many good schools. As far as classes just make sure you have impressive grades in your prerequisites for medical school. Hope this helps |
