Your obgyn can help you with the following. The first step is usually checking your tubes to make sure they are open. They will refer you to a hospital for the procedure. Then having your mates sperm test-for count, mobility etc. Then several iui's (intra-uterin insemination), and if that doesn't work, then clomid, which increases your egg ovulation. If all this fails then you should see a fertility doctor where it is more serious and can involve taking shots that lead up to invitro. If you haven't had a yearly recently, they might start there. They will also ask that your SO get a sperm assay. After that, they will likely schedule to track you for a cycle. Basically, on certain days of your cycle, they will take blood work and see what various hormone levels are during the month. They will also do some transvaginal ultrasound to track your ovaries and watch for developing follicals. |
