I am 20 years old would infertility clinics accept me? |
im 20 years old an have been with my fiance since i was 18 after 2 years of being together we are know financially stable to support a family we want to have a family early in life ,, but i dont seem to fall pregnant :( i have p.c.o.s an a treated case of HPV .. i also have irregular periods an last month i had a period that lasted two weeks wich turned out to be an early miscarrige.. i really want to become pregnant my best friend is exspecting along with many other family memeber around my age ... i dont really know what kind of treatment they may put me under but i wanted to know if infertility facilities would accept my case is it too soon in ttc for them to suggest any treatment or am i to young an how do i go about calling an finding an infertility clinic finding a doctor, an then treatment???? Theres no reason for a clinic not to accept you at 20 years of age. In the first instance go and talk to your GP and he can refer you to a clinic xxx There is no reason that they would not accept you. They will ask though that you try for at least one year before, but with PCOS and HPV they may not ask that you wait the one year. There is a couple of support groups I know of that can help with support as far as sharing info and just having others to talk to that are in the same situation. One is ttchappybabydusttoall and the other is OASIS-L these are both yahoo groups I think they may help you. Your age does not matter (as long as you're over 18). If you have been actively trying to conceive without success for 1 year, you are a candidate for fertility tests and treatments. If you have an OB/GYN, ask him/her to recommend a fertility specialist. If not, you can search for Reproductive Endocrinologists (RE's) in your area and just call and make an appointment. Good luck. well, they will accept, but some do give you a slight attitude like the nurses. i was in that same boat, i was 22 (i am not 25). but try. they wont turn you down, as long as you have insurance. an infertility clinic is maybe a bit too early to be thinking about, not becauseof your age but because you were pregnant just last month, which sadly ended in a miscariage.. |
