Where is God in Infertility?

A question for Christians, Muslims, and any other religious people who want to answer.

Where is God/Allah in infertility?

Why does He deny loving couples the chance to be parents yet allowes Fred and Rose West, Josef Fritzl and others like them to have children, and put these kids through great suffering with their evil deeds?

Why does He allow selfish, irresponsible women to get pregnant again and again - and get rid of these babies with abortion after abortion after abortion? But there are loving couples out there who desperately want to have just one child of their own?

Can anyone explain why God does this when He is supposed to love us all?

This is a profound question that Mankind has been struggling with for Thousands of years. -- I doubt there is an answer which will satisfy everyone.

My wife and I struggled with infertility..occasionally we still do, since we can't have kids. It has been about 5 years since we found out for SURE that we can't have kids...occassionally family gatherings, birthdays, etc. are STILL a problem and make us cry.

Here is the only thing which helped me...

Maybe some people are intended to pour their time and energy that they would have spent on child raising on OTHERS around their community. MAYBE this frees them to use their talents in other ways.
Maybe they are meant to provide a loving home for an adopted child.

We've decided, because of my wife's health issues, to become everyone's favorite Aunt and Uncle. We don't have kids of our own..but we can babysit, give gifts, and give guidance to our nephew and our friend's kids.
My wife can volunteer at the church for special events, decorating and planning in ways most "moms" don't have time.

If loving your own child is seen as a wonderful thing...how much better is it to take on someone else's child and love it as your own? - Doesn't it take a bigger act of love to love something as your own?

I think God allows these things for several reasons... Primarily because his principle of "freewill" dictates that he can't put limits on it even if we want him to. Most people only want God to put limits on OTHER people's freedom.. people who they see as doing wrong. BUT, we get considerably more uncomfortable when God puts limits on our freewill.

With roughly 6 billion people on this planet.. MOST things are the result of a complex interaction of freewills.

Secondily, I think only God can realize the "good" that comes from hardships and tradegy. - In nearly ALL tradegies and struggles comes a potential for us to choose to rise above... to be our best. Each problem is an opportunity to actually put our beliefs into practice.

This is not say god causes hardships..but only HE can truly see the potential that each problem allows us. To the one experiencing the issue.. we only see how unfair it is and how hard it is. -- Often times despite this...we rise to the occassion anyways.

SO... maybe God realizes we have unique gifts and realizes how we can best use them.. therefore he allows infertility in some couples. Maybe he can't change certain things without destroying someone's freewill. Maybe he correctly sees problems in our lives as opportunities for us to really live by our principles and our beliefs.
Maybe...just maybe he doesn't cause problems but can USE them to his advantage...to further his over all plan for us and for the world.
Anotherwards..maybe he takes our lemons and turns them into lemonaid, IF only we work with him and accept the direction our life is heading and don't fight it.

I quit a long time ago to try to find the suitable answer to appease everybody, but you have to remember we are humans, with the world not being perfect because of sin. If we had a real all-Christian world as heaven will be, none of these things would exist. Because they do exist, the Christians of the world have to strive to help any of those in need. And if you are a Christian and cannot have your own children, you will stretch out your loving arms to a child without parents and embrace him as your own. I agree the world as it is now, is a very unfair world with many heartaches. Find peace in our Lord. Pray.

God is everywhere in every sperm and ovum. But those sperm and ovum are not for united by its own reasons. So god has made all the law and system. Just a General Manager makes the policy, system in company to run. Everything is workiing as per system and law. If there is infertility is there, so that is also by the system and law. If somethind is lacking then there is also law & system. Finally the mind and intelligence of human being is responsible for all the situation and not God.
For example one couple have few child in this life and after some experience they wish not to have any child in next time or next life. So in next life they will not able to get any child because they planneed it and requested god not to have. After not having any child, they will request and pray to god for some child whole the life. They in next time or next life they will get a child.
so whatever is the situation is there, We are responsible, because we requested-prayed and planned in previous time or life.
We need to understand God. Dont blame to God. God is to help and give whatever we want.

because you have to first ask yourself a very simple question, where is this dam thing called god.

Answer: there is no god. god dint create people, people created god due to their insecurities and anxiety.

Now didn't get me wrong, I also went through what you are going through. the though of not having children was devastating. Now I have twin boys.

Make sure you see a Good infertility doctor. Dont wait. With age fertility decreases. there are many ways in which you can be helped conceive but sorry to be the one to inform you, Its not going to be god.

The best answer I can give you is that all things work together for good to them that love the LORD. Why examples of things mentioned happened I can not give you probablly a satisfactory answer. I wish I knew all the answers but I don't.

It sounds like you are suffering from this. I'm very sorry you are hurting. I too am unable to conceive.

There is no "one" responsible for the problems of infertility, or suffering of other kinds in the world. Things don't happen for a reason, they just happen.

Original sin is the cause, not God.

People plagued by infertility have a lot of love to offer, and they should adopt.

This would also provide an alternative solution to abortion, don't you agree?

i have no idea where they got there chidren from, maybe its a bit of evil.
as forpeople who are without, well i am without....

also one thing i have learned You Cannot Judge a Book by Its cover.

the bible says God knows the heart....

also EVEN EVIL CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT GOD LETS IT GET AWAY WITH AT TIMES.

There is no god.

The bible is one of the most misogynistic books ever written, god has little time for women so their infertility is of no consequence to him.

Because "God" is not responsible (firstly, he doesn't exist, so how could he be responsible?), humans are. And being humans we are all different, good, bad and downright ugly.

Why does he let people get sick and die? Why does he let millions starve? Why does he let children get raped?

Because he doesn't exist.

The answer is simple. There is no "god".

SOMETIMES a person asking the question 鈥淲hy?鈥?seeks comfort as well as answers, for when the question springs from severe loss, there is a great need for solace. Does the Bible offer such comfort? Consider three important Biblical truths related to this matter.

First, it is not wrong to ask why God allows suffering. Some people worry that posing such a question implies a lack of faith in God or disrespect for him. On the contrary, if you ask this question out of a sincere heart, you are in good company. The faithful prophet Habakkuk asked God: 鈥淲hy do you make me watch such terrible injustice? Why do you allow violence, lawlessness, crime, and cruelty to spread everywhere?鈥?(Habakkuk 1:3, Contemporary English Version) Jehovah God did not rebuke Habakkuk. Instead, he had that faithful man鈥檚 questions recorded for all of us to read.鈥擱omans 15:4.

Second, it is important to understand that God feels for you in your plight. He is not aloof and mysterious; he is 鈥渁 lover of justice,鈥?and he detests wickedness and the suffering it causes. (Psalm 37:28; Proverbs 6:16-19) Back in the days of Noah, God felt 鈥渉urt at his heart鈥?because of the violence spreading in the earth. (Genesis 6:5,聽6) God has not changed; he does not feel differently about what is occurring today.鈥擬alachi 3:6.

Third, God is never the source of wickedness. The Bible makes this quite clear. Those who attribute such things as murder and terrorism to God are maligning him. Note what Job 34:10 says: 鈥淔ar be it from the true God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly!鈥?Similarly, James 1:13 states: 鈥淲hen under trial, let no one say: 鈥業 am being tried by God.鈥?For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.鈥?So if you have suffered evil, rest assured that God is not the cause.

Mankind, alienated from God and misled by Satan, has built a world system that breeds more and more misery and hopelessness. Even the earth itself is being ruined! Jehovah, on the other hand, has set up a heavenly government that has changed the lives of millions for the better and that has given each one a sure hope. (1聽Timothy 4:10) Which will you choose?

Now is the time to decide, for God will not allow Satan and his wicked world to go on indefinitely. God鈥檚 original purpose to make this earth a paradise has never altered. To that end, his Kingdom and its supporters will go from strength to strength, while the world under Satan鈥檚 control will experience increasing 鈥減angs of distress鈥?until God brings it to an end. (Matthew 24:3, 7,聽8) So if you have sincerely cried out, 鈥淲hy?鈥?to God, listen to him by taking to heart the Bible鈥檚 message of comfort and hope. Even now, your tears of sorrow can become tears of joy.鈥擬atthew 5:4; Revelation 21:3,聽4.

Maybe he realized that if we were fruitful and multiplied for very long, there would be a Malthusian catastrophe. So in his wisdom, he added a lot of unnatural death and inability to have children. You know, for the greater good. After all, they think he's got a plan!

Because he is testing your character and your faith in him.

Job 2:5
But stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face."

Only under duress is the true character of a man revealed.
