Is it true that Tuna causes infertility? |
I heard somewhere that tuna causes infertility??? Then I heard or read somewhere that it boosts fertility? What is your opinion? Actually back in 2002 they said that Tuna and Swordfish had high levels of mercury!!! I was eating tuna the other day and a friend mentioned it!! She told me she had heard from many people that it can cause infertility....which I thought was absolute crap!!! No - but fish like Tuna and Swordfish etc (top predators) carry high levels of mercury that can cause stillbirth and birth defects. Well I know for sure that it is good for your brain, because of the Omega 3 Oil....um, fertility though? Eh, fish is pretty good for you so I don't think fertility would come into it too much but perhaps do a bit of research in the subject. Lol, no. this has gotta to be one of the most half baked things i've heard. never heard of tuna, but i heard of jack mackerel causes infertility, and any other fish with mercury! It has nothing to do with fertility. Where did you read this? The Onion? No. Sounds like bull to me... |
