Can c-sections cause infertility?

well i had a c-section with my son and me and my husband are wanting to have another baby, we have been trying for a couple of months no bfp so can my c-section have something to do with that?

I don't think so, I would not start to worry until you've been trying for at least a year. A doctor would not take you seriously after a couple of months of trying.

It's unlikely that your previous c-section is causing infertility. When you say a couple of months, it typically takes a couple on average 3 month to conceive and doctors aren't usually worried about it until after 1 year, unless you are over 35, in that case 6 months. You might just not be giving yourself enough time.

There is a slight risk for miscarriage, however, depending on the scar on your uterus, if implantation occurs over this scar. There is also a slight risk for uterine rupture later in the pregnancy from a former c-section.

Um no. I had a csection with my son and it took me only a month to conceive my third child. My first (my daughter) was vaginal my second (my son) was csection and now my third is going to be a planned csection. Good luck
