I have what is called secondary infertility. I do get normal periods, except i dont ovalute.? |
My progesterone level is too low, which proves i am not ovoluting. my doc put me on chlomid 100mg a day for 5 days, i missed a period the next cycle. when i took chlomid again in the subsequent cycle, i got period which is lasting a month! Ultrasound is normal too. any similar experience? Any doc online who can advise? Looks like i cannot get pregnant. I am 40 & dont have tiem to lose anymore! If you have secondary infertility then it means that you did become pregnant before that. However, somehow your progesterone level has become too low so you don't ovulate now. In my opinion this may be because of your age. Chlomid has been shown very effective in inducing ovulation. Try it more. You may get pregnant. Good Luck. Source(s): Medical Student sorry to hear this. your body takes time to adjust to new drugs, so it could work correctly in a few months. if you are sure you can't get pregnant naturally, i'd suggest having eggs harvested, fertilsed outside the body and implanted into the uterus. find an ob/gyn that specilises in reproductive endocrology. I'm currently taking clomid as well. I have to take provera to start my period then clomid 50mg for 5 days. It's frustrating I know. I then have to wait for ovulation and center incourse around 12, 13, and the 14 and thereafter. I can't say I have a simliar experience I suffer from irregular periods. I have to have my proestrogen level checked to see if the clomid has to be increased. I would suggest you speaking to a real doctor and don't try to find one on here! Good luck! God Bless....keep your faith in the Lord, I know it's difficult. While it may seem I can only relate in medication I relate in the emotional and frustration of it all!
