Can pancreatitis effect sperm count and infertility?

My husband told me that due to his chronic pancreatitis and all the medications he takes, as well, as the several surgerys that he now may have a low sperm count/ may be infertile. I just want to know if that could be a factor or not.

I don't think that pacreatitis itself causes low sperm count. However, the meds might. It would depend on the exact medication. Same for the previous surgeries. Check out the website I've listed. They have great info on all conditions AND medications. Source(s): http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/...

no-pancreatitis can not be the factor of low sperm count. however as u mentioned various surgeries and various medicines which are not named by you. these may be the cause. but its better to consult a doctor with the complete detail history of your husband
Pancreatitis will not effect your husbands sperm count.
Although the sperm count is probably not affected, people with pancreatitis are usually in a lot of pain and aren't too interested in sex to begin with. I have a hunch that, like diabetes, pancreatitis could cause erectile dysfunction. Good luck to your husband.
