Has anyone had acupuncture for endometriosis and infertility? |
If so,did you find it helpful. I have severe endo and fertility problems and i'm sick of conventional medicine! lol so any other alternatives would be helpful. thanks for your time 15 years ago i had severe endometriosis and ovarian systs and they said i would never have children, i couldnt afford accupuncture but i had a very good gynacologist ( tired so spelling rubbish) i had a treatment for endometriosis and went on nearly a year course of fertility treatment clomid, the dose had to keep being doubled and then suddenly i was pregnant, i had a miscarriage and was then pregnant again i had a wonderful baby girl and due to being pregnant the endometriosis calmed down a lot and have little or no trouble with it, so persist with some of the normal ways unless you can get a good accupunturist and they can advise you on maybe some herbal medicines for your hormones etc. best of luck I had acupuncture for endo. Surprisingly it worked, somewhat, for a short while, and I thought I had hit the jackpot. But after 4 or 5 sessions, things went back to how they had been, and with further sessions, nothing improved. I hope someone can answer your question positively. For I am yet to find anything other than loads of pills to help me cope. Good luck. I found out 6 years ago this July that I have Endo. My doctor here where I live had run out of options, and he sent me to see a specialist in St. Louis, when I was there he stated he thought that acupuncture might help, but since my health insurance wouldn't cover it they offered to do it for 20 dollars a treatment. Which I thought was great. However I would have to make the 1 1/2 hour drive. I did once a week for almost 4 months. I did find some relief w/ it and the pain meds I have been prescribed. I would say try it, you really have nothing to loose except maybe the pain. Good Luck I suffer from Endo. |
